Oppo Find X10 Pro Max Confirmed for Global Launch, Will Run on MediaTek’s New Dimensity 9600 Pro

Oppo has just confirmed something big. The Find X10 Pro Max, its next flagship phone, is heading to global markets. And it’s coming with a brand new chip that nobody has used before: the MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro.

This is a fast follow-up. Oppo’s last big flagship, the Find X9 Ultra, only landed in China back in April. Now the company is already talking up its next premium phone, and this time it wants the whole world to get it, not just Chinese buyers.

Here’s everything we know so far.

What Oppo Has Confirmed

The announcement came from Pete Lau, Oppo’s chief product officer, on 15 September. He confirmed two things clearly. First, the Find X10 Pro Max will launch outside China. Second, it will run on the new Dimensity 9600 Pro chip from MediaTek.

That’s it for now. No price. No exact global launch date. No benchmark numbers either. Oppo is simply telling the world this phone is coming, and coming with serious hardware.

Meet the Dimensity 9600 Pro

MediaTek announced this chip on the very same day, and it’s a genuinely big deal. It’s the first mobile chip built on TSMC’s new 2nm (N2P) manufacturing process. Smaller chip designs like this usually run cooler and sip less power, which matters a lot on a flagship phone that people use for gaming, camera work, and AI tasks all day.

CPU and Performance

The chip uses an “All-Big-Core” layout. That means two ultra-powerful cores running at up to 4.55GHz, paired with six more performance cores. No small, weak cores dragging things down.

Oppo says this setup gives roughly 17% better single-core performance and around 15% better multi-core performance compared to last year’s Dimensity 9500. The bigger number, though, is efficiency. Multi-core power efficiency is claimed to be up to 61% better. In simple words, this chip should do more work while draining less battery.

Graphics and Gaming

Graphics duties go to a new GPU inside the chip, which Oppo says delivers about 27% more graphics performance under heavy load. It also supports better ray tracing and newer AI-assisted rendering, both useful for gaming and detailed visuals.

AI Performance

The Dimensity 9600 Pro also packs two separate NPUs (neural processing units), the parts of a chip that handle AI tasks. One is built for heavy lifting, and it’s claimed to process AI model input around 51% faster. The second one is meant for lighter background AI tasks and is designed to use far less power while doing them.

On top of all this hardware, Oppo and MediaTek have jointly built a software layer called the Laminar Flow Engine. The idea is to keep the phone feeling smooth and responsive even under heavy use, instead of the usual slowdown you get after a while.

Camera Setup

Reports suggest the Find X10 Pro Max will carry three 200MP rear cameras, something no phone has offered before. The regular Find X10 is expected to get two 200MP cameras instead.

The camera system is being developed with Hasselblad again, as part of what’s being called the Hasselblad Ultra HD Original Camera system. Oppo is also said to be using a second-generation Danxia colour system for more accurate colours, along with its own LUMO imaging engine to process photos.

China Launch Date and Lineup

Oppo has confirmed the Find X10 series goes official in China on 22 September. Four models are expected on stage that day: the Find X10, Find X10E, Find X10 Pro, and the Find X10 Pro Max.

When Will It Launch Globally?

Oppo hasn’t given a global date yet, but last year’s pattern gives us a decent hint. The Find X9 series was announced for global markets around this same time last year, then actually launched worldwide close to mid-October, followed by an India launch in November.

If Oppo follows a similar path this time, a global launch sometime in October looks likely. Some early leaks even suggest the India launch could come sooner this year, possibly by the end of October instead of November.

What’s New Compared to the Find X9 Series

This is the first time Oppo has used “Pro Max” in the Find series name, a naming style that closely matches Apple’s iPhone Pro Max line. Beyond the name, the biggest jump is the chip itself. Moving to a 2nm process is a genuine generational leap, not just a small yearly bump like most phones get.
